To Be or Not To Be?!

To be or not to be that's the question
Options and choices were always given
Yes or no?, that or this?, here or there? now or never?
But only one ought to be chosen without  regrets

To be or not to be what I will be
Decisions were now on my hand
Never should let anything pass
Views must be weighted accordingly

To be or not to be what's the answer?
 My thoughts were growing deep
My mind is having a hard time
And most of it I keep on hanging

The Comedy of Errors

"Comedy brings color to our life"

The Comedy of Errors it was a play written by William Shakespeare, it is his shortest and one of his farcical comedies due to the mistaken identity. It is observed of classical unities, it is truly a good Shakespearean master piece. It was about two pairs of twins who were separated at birth due to the ship wreckage, Antipholus and Dromio of Syracuse got along with Egeon, meanwhile Antipholus and Dromio of Ephesus was with Emilia, as Antipholus and Dromio of Syracuse search for their long lost twin, they ended up in the town of Ephesus and there sequence of events happen due to the confusion going on between the pair of twins and the people attached to them. But surely they ended up happily seeing each other and the family now became a complete and happy picture.

We all known that Shakespeare is really a good writer, and I don't doubt it that he makes numbers of plays and stories that is truly beyond ones satisfaction, and the Comedy of Errors is one of those, at start the characters and the flow of story is somehow confusing, but that gave the reader enthusiasm to continue, it was legibly done. All the conflicts going on between the characters due to their mistaken identities, the rivalry between the two cities, the search for a long lost family member, the love shown by the couples and that heartwarming moment when they saw each other. It all adds up to the intense emotion felt while reading the story.

We can site many lessons regarding this story of the twins, though it is comedy which we thinks that is purely about laughing and having fun, behind those were heartwarming realities that one can surely relate. One of those was deep love for the family members; not knowing on what will be the result of his journey he didn't hesitate to look for his twin brother. Hope is one lesson also though they were separated for a long time they still have this faith that they will soon see each other. Faithfulness this was shown by Egeon and Emilia so many years passed and they kept their vow for each other until they meet again. Sometimes time and place separate two persons together but it doesn't mean that the bond will be gone, this will be a way making it stronger and keeping each other closer.

Towards A Bitter-Sweet Future

National Career Assessment Examination also known as NCAE is an aptitude test wherein the students answer the questionnaires based on what they learn from the past years, self assessment, career awareness and career guidance. NCAE also measures the potential or inclination of students in such areas regarding their future course. This year all the third year students take this exam last August 2012, the students were arranged in alphabetical order, 30 students were set per room they are to take the exam starting at 8 o'clock am up to 3 o'clock in the afternoon, it was more or less five hours.

NCAE was merely composed of nine skills/ability test; mainly scientific ability which is about basic science concepts that I truly enjoyed, mathematical ability is about, of course Math but basic math only no large numbers or complicated equations attached, reading comprehension about what you have understand in the story it is mainly a test for memory, verbal ability, manipulative skills, clerical ability, non-verbal ability, entrepreneurial skills it is about entrepreneurship which determines the ability of an individual in business  and the OIISSS which is about on what habit or thing do you want to do, its main purpose is to see what career best suites a person. This things doesn't require reviewing for answers, no hard physics or chemistry question, no deep calculus, trigonometry and geometry questions, it is just based on your basic skills ans knowledge, no hassle at all.

The importance of NCAE is too guide future college students on what course they really want to study, because for a high school student it is hard to choose between what you like the most, I know students like me have lots of option on what course they will take on college, but there are lots of questions in their mind lik, do I really like that? Will I pass the board if ever I take that course? Will I survive studying that course? so many questions keep on bothering each and everyone's mind at least when they got the result of the NCAE they will got a bigger picture the best career that suites them so that they will not be unemployed due to mismatched careers. The best way to predict our future is by creating it.

Sportsmanship Must Be Gained

"It really doesn't depend on how many times you won, but the truth is it depends on how you accept failure"

Intramurals are fun, recreational, social and competitive on-campus sports activity. Yearly, intamurals was celebrated by our school and by this school year, it was held August 23- 24, 2012 earlier as I expect it to be, each year level was given a name based on team sports key, namely Green Celtics for first years, Yellow Madrid for second years, Red Bayern for third years and Blue Chelsea for forth years. As a  student having an intrams is one of the most fun activities a high school student wants to experience, besides the fact that there are no classes, we used to play, socialize, and interact with other students in the school.

Lots of game were opened to be played of like, the popular ball games basketball boys and girls, volleyball boys and girls, and other outdoor games like sepak takraw, badminton boys and girls (singles&doubles), throwing events like discus, javelin and shot put, some indoor games like chess boys and girls, table tennis boys and girls (singles&doubles), we also have this fun games namely patintero, sack race and tug-of-war. To spice up the event we also had a Cheer Dance competition and  Dansport competition which is newly done this year. Every student was in full joy and energy, cheers supporting their teams can be heard every now and then, banners can be seen all around every year level supports its group all the way, no matter what awaits in the end, if they win or lose.

Why do we need to have intrams? What can we learn from it? Simple intramurals is not just for pure fun, it is about learning to cooperate with your team; construct good strategies, make new fellows and be sensitive enough to look after ones welfare this strengthens the bond in each member of the group and prove that they really have a rigid teamwork, physical fitness is also observed a good player can play the best when he is in right condition, sports also help attain the physically fit state of the body. Mental strenght in decision making; when we are playing our mind is active it keeps on looking for strategies that can help themselves or the team  in winning. Sportsmanship the main purpose of having this event, we all know that when someone wins, someone loses also. Sportsmanship teaches us to accept our defeat, be happy for other's victory and don't lose hope there is always a next time for everything. If we fail over and over and over again in our life that is the main reason why we succeed.

Fluency in The English Language or Mastery of Our Mother Tongue

" No instance exists of a person's writing two languages. That will always appear to be his native language which was most familiar to him in his youth"

Mother Earth was composed of probably more or less 196 independent countries which differ in culture, traditions, way of living and of course language. But what is language anyway? Do we really need to study other languages than our own language? Language is the capacity of a human being for acquiring and communicating with the people around us. All over the world there are about five to six thousand languages some of them were Mandarin, Spanish, English, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, Bengali, Russian, Japanese, German and our native language of course Filipino. Above all English is widely known all over the globe it is used to be called as "International/Global Language" ever since we are in elementary we have an English subject mainly because we should be fluent in speaking in English to communicate with other countries like America, Germany, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and many more. We Filipinos find English somehow complicating especially those people who wasn't able to study it, or those who really don't want to understand it. But still even though studying English by text books is somewhat hard for some, there is an easy way of doing so, we can read novels, stories, essays and poems in English that way English words were retained in our mind and it even widens ones vocabulary, we are not forced to speak in really deep English language a lay man's term will do.

Filipino particularly Tagalog my native language, but do I really master it? Since birth it was the language that I was used to, but do I used the words correctly? Or is it even really a Tagalog word? As we all know our language was deeply influenced by other countries, it is not purely ours we just have our part in it. Speaking in my own language is easier than speaking in other languages simply because I was raised by hearing and using this language at the same time we have our Filipino class in school to widen our knowledge about our native tongue. Filipino/ Tagalog language has done a big part in all of our lives since it is widely known all over the Philippines we can communicate with people in Visayas and Mindanao easier knowing that they have a different language but still it is good that they know even just a little how to speak in Tagalog.  Let us just imagine talking to each other with different languages some speak in Tagalog, some in Kapampangan, some in Ilokano and Bisayan. Our whole life will be a disaster, we cannot communicate to people around us, we find it hard to jam with them and at the same time it will arouse a fight without knowing what someone is really talking about.

What language is really important? Is it the language widely known all over the globe? Or the language that is known all over our country? For me I will stand in between, both of these languages is important to be mastered and be fluent of speaking using them. First of all because it is a means of communication in different part of the world and of the Philippines, we can use it in business transaction, friendship, politics, etc.; it will also be good if we know multiple languages so that if we go to other countries we can cope with them and we are not misguided. Language is the most basic tool we as humans possess for both making our needs known and for understanding the needs of others, it adds a great depth to self expression and interpersonal connections.
